The United Auto Workers is expanding strikes to 38 parts and distribution locations across 20 states for General Motors and Stellantis. The union will not initiate additional strikes at Ford Motor given they are 'serious about reaching a deal'.

If Ford, General Motors or Stellantis have not made substantial progress toward a fair agreement by this time, the UAW stated it will call on more members to join the "Stand Up Strike."

Effective January 1, 2023, the California Air and Resource Board (CARB) will require diesel trucks and buses in participating states and with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) greater than 14,000 pounds to reduce exhaust emissions by meeting particulate matter (PM) filter requirements and upgrade to a 2010 or newer engine model year (EMY).
